Who we are and what we actually do
Mintfpixel was founded in 2018 by two siblings who had spent years watching Nairobi's small businesses struggle to access reliable, fairly-priced local services. The idea was simple: build an operation that combines the responsiveness of a family business with a slate-professional standard of delivery — written scopes, structured processes, documented outcomes. Today the team spans three family members plus two long-term associates who've worked with us for over four years. We operate from our Kimathi Street office in central Nairobi and serve a client base that ranges from individual residents needing occasional help to SMEs with ongoing retainer arrangements. In practical terms, we handle local business services, appointment coordination, and product supply — nothing more, and nothing less. We are deliberately not a generalist agency that claims to do everything; that approach tends to mean doing nothing especially well.
How we work — and where we draw the line
Every project starts with a conversation, not a form. We spend time understanding what you actually need before we write a single word of a scope. Once we agree on scope, timeline, and fee, we issue a written document that both sides sign — this isn't bureaucracy, it's clarity. During the project, a named family member stays as your single point of contact. We give weekly updates on active engagements and flag problems early rather than hoping they resolve themselves. What we don't do: we don't offer services outside our three core areas, we don't take on projects that require skills we haven't validated in-house, and we don't guarantee outcomes that depend on third parties beyond our control — regulatory approvals, supplier lead times, and market conditions all sit outside our promise. We think that honesty about limits is what makes the things we do promise actually credible. Since 2018 we have completed over 340 engagements for more than 120 distinct clients, and more than 60 percent of our new work comes from referrals — a number we're proud of and intend to keep earning.
